St.Joseph Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kangeyam road, Tirupur, fondly known as JMHS, this is where it all started for this Chosen family. Most of them started their journey right from Kindergarten, while a few joined in between. It was indeed a rollercoaster ride for many. This bunch were, are and will always remain close to each other no matter what they experience in their respective lives. As usual in most of the school class shuffle happens every year so on the first day of every year students eagerly rush to the notice board to see if they are in the same section as their friends.
Students became friends due to different reasons, a few being, coming from the same area, travelling in the same school bus, sharing the same Auto (most students preferred this) PT period would usually be the same for 2 sections at any given day so many used to develop a strong bond through their favourite sport (mostly cricket or football)
Admissions to this school was not too strict but yes they would indeed have an entrance test to gauge if the students are ready.
Folks lets see how things started for the characters I had mentioned in the introduction. Varsha, a bubbly girl and a bundle of joy, she makes sure that people around her are happy always. So it happened to be admission day and Varsha's parents were little nervous while waiting at the reception outside Principal Sister's room.
Radhamani - The school office attendant (she now takes care of entire administration) calls "Varsha"
Parents - Good morning Sister
Sister - Good morning! Hello my pretty girl, What is your name?
Varsha started playing with the paper weight that was kept on the table and replied spontaneously to everyone's shock, Didn't you hear when that Aunty called me inside your room? Anyways my name is Varsha, They both are my parents.
Sister's laughs and said good. Now tell me what all do you know?
Varsha again, I know many things, what do you want to know?
Tell me some rhymes child.
Give me a chocolate in case you want me to say some rhymes.
See I told you right no one can match her spontaneous reply or sarcasm right from the beginning. The conversation was going on like this for sometime and her parents were worrying if she would get an admission. But it was School's fate she was in.
Kavin, equally talented and should rightfully be called as King of sarcasm. He was waiting with his mom who was a Police officer.
Varsha didn't know it was Kavin's mom but went to her enquiring, " Why are you holding him tight, is he a thief, did he steal something from here?
There was utter silence in the waiting hall, Kavin's mom replied no kiddo that's my son, we have come here for admission. Once they left she turned to Kavin, '"Son, she seems to be very mischievous, better stay away from her at school".
Kavin's admission interview went on smoothly. He was very obedient and looked innocent, everyone thought that being a police officer's son he is very disciplined. Many including his class mates thought the same but they were in for a shock in the years to come.
Karthik, kind and outstanding student (always standing out of the class) was next. Coming from a middle class family right from early days he was taught all the do's and don'ts by his strict but loving parents. He answered all questions before it could be completed (kids mostly are like that during their childhood years)You all will get to know how he transforms.
Barani, A gentleman right from his childhood, very active. He was there with his mom. Everytime the attendant used to come out to call a name, he turned towards his mom to ask when will they call us. He was soft spoken and always came out with flying colours. He was indeed a favourite student for many teachers. He would be the first always and would encourage others to get to that level.
Almost everyone, the list is indeed huge, had a quick and smooth admission. Everyone were indeed eagerly waiting for the school to open.
First day school :
Parents came to drop them as it was the very first day of schooling for these wonderful bunch of brats. All of them formed a line and were walking towards the classroom. Few had big dreams, few had the fear of parents and most of this bunch thinking how much is this school going to take as they are here
To everyone's surprise, all of them, Varsha, Kavin, Karthik, Barani, Manoj, Neha, Vinoth and many more like minded kids ended up being in the same class.
The Chosen Family was thus formed.
