Were you able to guess what was the surprise awaiting them?
Yes some of you would have got it right by now. All of them were surprised to see their parents present there. Manoj's father came hugged Manoj and said that this was something that all the parents had planned right from the start of the school holidays just that everyone had been busy with some work or the other.
Dad's little princess (Nathiya) was happy to be back with her parents. She was literally in tears, overwhelmed with joy the moment she saw her dad. Till date her Father is her role model and a pillar for all her success.
Barani was indeed happy not for the reason his mom was there but for the reason his dad had taken some time off his busy work to be with all of them, that's because hardly on a sunday too Barani's father would be at work.
Mouli's father was a Bank manager, he hardly used to get time to spend some family time due to the economic conditions and challenges the banking industry was facing.
Karthik's father was working for the Ministry of Textiles, Just like Mouli's father he hardly got free time. Opening of new office and restructuring things took a toll on him and he wanted this vacation more than anyone else.
Vinoth's parents had to take care of both the shop as well as the restaurant so they hardly had time to take rest, this was a much needed break for them.
Our Iron lady's father used to travel overseas a lot with regards to business. So mostly Varsha used to spend her weekends or free time at her cousin's place. She always used to be with her dad whenever he came back after a really long business trip.
Manoj's father was so kind enough that he wanted to make sure the evening was well spent. Through his contacts in the film industry, he had arranged a musical instrumental show played by students of AR Rahman.
Kids and their parents went ahead asking the students to play their respective fav songs. few even sang and danced along with the kids. All of them took a break from this materialistic world and were able to get that inner peace that eluded them.
That night was a fun filled and happy moment that the kids as well as their parents would cherish for a long time. A small camp fire followed by delicious dinner summed up the day. All the families retired to their respective rooms. parents were able to see the immense joy in their kids. Just when they were about to hit the sack they heard continues sound similar to a bunch of people running in the terrace. All the parents were out of their room frightened. Manoj's dad told that its the sound of the monkeys, being a farm house its had numerous ancestral visitors during the night time.
The next morning everyone woke up and were getting ready.(No they are not going back, how will I end a trip so soon). They walked around the farm house. It rained early in the morning, so the pleasent smell of wet sand, along with freshly blossomed flowers of quite a few varieties was a treat to the eyes. Manoj took his friends and went to the cattle field. There were quite a few calves which were jumping here and there. Kids were looking at how the cows were getting milked.
All the parents wanted to take the kids out for a jungle safari. Asanur being a forest area, you can witness a lot of animals casually taking a walk down the roads. Right from Elephants, Rhinos, Deers, Wild water buffaloes, lots more can be witnessed. The local district forest officer was contacted and a vehicle just like those available in wild life sanctuaries was arranged.
The Ranger appointed by the forest officer guided them through the Jungle Safari. Kids were very much excited to see all the animals.
Varsha " Friends why don't we go and take pictures with the animals, all of them are silent only. Ranger uncle please"
Soon there was a chorus sound "Ranger Uncle please" You can see the innocence as well as childish nature of the kids.
Just before the Ranger and parents could make them understand there was a group of wild buffaloes that ran suddenly across the vehicle that these ppl were travelling. There was total silence inside the vehicle for sometime.
Ranger "Relax, nothing to worry, it happens most of the time. Worst part is when elephants start running, that's when we have to be very careful."
There were lot of ancestors the travelling group met while coming, Yes yes I mean monkeys only. Manoj, Karthik and Varsha started feeding them with Bananas. Varsha was finally able to take some pictures with them. It was indeed fun overloaded for the kids.
They reached the farmhouse back in the afternoon. Meanwhile, manager Prabhu and Moorthi anna had organised some delicious and lip smacking lunch that was indeed visually appetizing. Everyone had tummy full and were equally tired after the morning Jungle Safari. Kids were given extra attention with some good sweets as well as loads of Ice Cream. The whole travelling crowd was looking at Karthik and Varsha who were finishing the ice cream in a jiffy and going for the next one. This same incident happened years later at an ice cream outlet.
Everyone were exhausted and went over to take a much needed nap.
In the evening, parents came forward in conducting some games and fun session for the kids. Mouli and Manoj ruled over everyone when it came to Chess, Nathiya and Vinoth excelled in Carrom, while Varsha and Karthik formed a formidable force in Ludo, these kids were playing Ludo for a very long time.
The game time was followed by high tea and all the parents had already decided to leave as many had work early the next day morning. Overall everyone's heart was filled with overwhelming joy and everlasting memories.
All of them left in their respective cars to Tirupur. Kids waiting for the school to reopen as only few days of holidays were left.
