Sister, sister get up. mom has kept coffee for both of us and woke me up twice, we need to get ready soon"
That was Megha waking up her elder sister Neha.
"Megha, don't disturb me lets sleep for some more time".
"You both sleep how much ever time you want but ill pour the coffee on your faces in a min." The school bus will come to pick you both, get up and get ready soon. Stop dreaming that you both are still studying at boarding school at Ooty. That was their mom.
Neha jus realised that the holidays were over and she had to get ready for school. Neha is indeed multi talented girl. Apart from academics she is a charismatic singer and a excellent dancer. That was going to be her first day at JMHS for both the sisters. As mentioned earlier both were studying till date at Good Shepherd school at Ooty.
Little did she know that she would end up along with our wonderful bunch of kids at school. Neha along with Megha boarded the school bus and both were waiting with crossed fingers as to how the school and her so called new classmates would be.

Our bunch of people slowly started reaching school. New academic year, new classroom, new classmates (as mentioned earlier there used to be a shuffle every year and new set of staffs as well. Everything was quite similar except for the fact our MLA was late as usual but this time along with Vinoth. Thara Miss was their class teacher and the day being the first day she did not say anything but just let them in warning them not to come late.
While these 2 were making their way to their benches, Nathiya asked " Can't you both come to school on time? Karthi say some other reaaon da, every other day, Mummy late is not something we want to hear."
Both " Thanks for your advice we came by cycle that's why late, What happened many new faces in our class, Oh! class shuffle right? Ok now look at the board or else your name will come up on the board along with the Fantastic four"
Meanwhile, Thara miss knew quite a few people as she had seen them day in and day out. She went ahead asking everyone to introduce themself and elected a wonderful Class rep who was too obedient, too disciplined and too strict as well. She was none other than Thulasi. Thulasi ended up being the SPL later during her time at school.
Every single day Thulasi used to have Mouli, Vinoth, Karthik and Varsha's name written on the board, not for something special or being late but for always talking among them even when class was going on. There were multiple 'X' mark against these 4 ppl name as which denotes the no of times they were caught talking. And mostly these 4 used to be Outstanding student (out of the class). You might wonder how come Manoj and Kavin escaped, as I had said earlier they both werr perfect partners in crime and would make sure someone else are caught.
Varsha and Karthik started eating chocolates whenever they got time or when teacher was not looking at them, they strictly followed the principle 'We live to eat' and not the other way around.
Neha meanwhile found it easy going with these people. Manoj meanwhile tried to strike a conversation.
"Hi my name is Manoj. Whats your name? Which school you studied?
"Am Neha, I studied in Good Shepherd Ooty"

Karthik to Varsha "Have you ever seen him talking like this, even when teacher asks he would talk only in Tamil see now"
"Karthi he knows 23 languages in English da. Leave it lets take care of him later."

It was lunch time and as I had mentioned earlier, everyone used to assemble in the Dining hall and were waiting. Someone would be randomly picked for daily prayer. Students used to make use of their own prayer but mostly to be on a safer side would mention something that is present in their school diary.
To his surprise it was Karthik's turn. He was indeed blinking on what to do but at the same time didn't want his friends and also others to stay hungry for a long time.
So he went ahead with the following:
"My lord, Help this Bunch to Crunch the Lunch."
Everyone were in for a shock, all burst out laughing as nobody expected this kind of prayer from Karthik. Having said that everyone were equally hungry so sat down to eat. Thara miss came next to them asking Karthik to meet her later.
Nathiya "You could have said some prayer out from our school diary right? or something that we say during assembly daily."
"This too was a short prayer only, see am hungry and know for a fact that you are too so eat soon."
"Karthi take things seriously da don't be like this always."
"Ok river will try to be."
The prayer was the talk of the school for the rest of the day. Almost everyone in the class came forward asking as to why Karthik choose to say that as prayer.
It was time for maths class. That was handled by Alphonse miss. Folks she was THE strict of all in the entire school. Student's from higher secondary were scared and used to run in the opposite direction in case the come to know Alphonse miss was coming along that way.
She went ahead with portion that was to be covered for the day and towards the end of the period started asking questions to see if the students have understood what she taught. To her shock most of them except Thulasi, Barani and Mouli did not answer them. They all were in for a treat courtesy of a water soaked cane that Alphonse miss used to carry everyday while coming to class.
All of them were made to stand outside the class but only after some nice cane treatment, nobody seem to feel the fact that it was a punishment and were giggling and having fun being Outstanding students.
It was a fun filled day and everyone seemed to enjoy. Since she was new to the school, these people took Neha to the school canteen and made her get Ice cream for them. Neha introduced her little sister Megha to her friends. They had a nice time at the Canteen that evening.
Slowly they went ahead with their regular evening sports session. These kids were good at sports too and they went on to win laurels for their alma matter in the coming years.
